Kimberley

It’s easy to believe that you’re in an Alpine village as opposed to Canada when you first arrive in Kimberley, as most of the building have been constructed out of pine in a traditional style. Its proximity to the slopes means there’s ski in/ski out accommodation available and rooms with stunning views of the mountains.

Due to the stunning conditions of the pistes at Kimberley, it’s not surprising that advanced skiers manage to achieve so much in a visit to this part of Canada. Well-groomed runs and fall-line skiing make for wonderful experiences on the slopes, but things get even more exciting off-piste.

Easter Bowl and the Black Forest Glades areas offer the best powder and reward those who accept the challenge. Experimentation is key here where skiing is positively world-class.

The ski season in Kimberley typically starts mid-way through December and lasts until the first few weeks in April. As it lies in a place that gets a lot of powder naturally, there is no need for it to be enhanced by artificial means. Powder junkies will be in their element as this soft snow falls in abundance and stays for a long time.
